Are you in the middle of a quarter-life crisis kinda meltdown?
Are your worries and anxieties at an all-time high because you're trying to get a grip on where the heck your life is headed?
It's hard (dang hard) not to get caught up on the hamster wheel of next.
But your imagination is twirling 'round + 'round with questions and doubts and wonderings about where you're headed, who you're gonna be, when it's gonna happen and how you're gonna get there.
You're teeter-tottering on the edge of anxiety because what you've imagined your life to be right now isn't quite your reality.
I'll be done with school by ___.
I'll have this job by ___.
I'll be married by ___.
I'll have kids by ___.
I'll be making $___ by ___.
And like most of us A-to-Z-gameplan kind of girls, you end up with nothing but a tired brain, unsettled emotions + no clear-cut answers.
But what if you're not meant to worry about what's next?
What if that burden was never yours to carry?
Don't get me wrong, planning is friggin' great. "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail," they say.
But when we get so caught up in having insanely detailed plans, the daily energy we spend worrying about details we just don't know yet could be time spent enjoying where we are now.
It's cool to look forward to the future, but don't allow it to consume you to the point that you miss out on the beauty of where you're at right now.
Your "now" IS your set-up for your "next," whatever that is that God has for you.
So this week, we challenge you to choose to enjoy the present and worry less about what's to come.
And as you journey through your week, answer this:
Who do you want to be in the next few years?
How do the unknowns make you feel? Have you trusted God with those unknowns?
What is before you today that you can care for?
We wanna know! Share your heart in the comments girl!
